Karen Adams, Archaeologist and Historian: "A day in the life of an Archaeologist". 


Discover the work of an archaeologist contractor from planning to report writing. There's a lot more to archaeology than just the digging on site hoping for new and exciting finds. Find out the process of deciding where to dig, the different methods of revealing the archaeology, identifying different features and artefacts, environmental sampling through to the final report/publication. Examples are taken from sites in York , Yorkshire and the East Riding.

 

Entrance: Members free, Visitors £3, includes refreshments.
